Job Summary: Position is responsible for the coordination of the daily activities as well as the monitoring and tracking of the purchases for the hospital. Assures the proper and efficient processing and procurement of supplies, equipment and services and identifies opportunities of concerns related to the ordering/ buying activity for Valley View Regional Hospital.
Qualifications: Two-year degree preferred. Three to Five years experience in purchasing, healthcare preferred. Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Excellent computer skills including data analysis, communication and negotiation skills. Able to handle multiple priorities, throughunderstanding of contractual agreements, solid interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of management both internally and externally to properly understand our requirements and communicate these requirements to our vendors. Able to work under tight schedules in high-pressure situations.
